Lewis John McGibbney commented on CLIMATE-725: ---------------------------------------------- Hi [~huikyole], can you please create a new virtualenv or create an new VM and try the following {code} pip install -i https://testpypi.python.org/pypi ocw {code} This will install the following ocw 1.1rc3 test package for you https://testpypi.python.org/pypi/ocw This package can be deleted from the test server any time we want. I have tested it locally and can use OCW from within a Python session. Let me know how you get on, once we can verify that everything is working, I will augment the release documentation at https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLIMATE/Software+Release+Process#SoftwareReleaseProcess-PublishtoPyPi > Ensure that OCW 1.1 Test PyPi Works as Expected > ----------------------------------------------- > > Key: CLIMATE-725 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLIMATE-725 > Project: Apache Open Climate Workbench > Issue Type: Bug > Components: build process > Reporter: Lewis John McGibbney > Assignee: Lewis John McGibbney > Priority: Blocker > Fix For: 1.1 > > > This issue is in response to [~huikyole]'s > [comment|http://www.mail-archive.com/dev%40climate.apache.org/msg05211.html] > that easy-to-install packing is a must for the 1.1 release. > I completely agree. > I am therefore going to set up a TestPyPI for us to test. > https://wiki.python.org/moin/TestPyPI -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
