I created an ESGF ID here: https://www.earthsystemgrid.org/home.html and
can log into their site with the ID that was emailed to me just fine.

Trying to download the data set obs4MIPs.CNES.AVISO.zos.mon.v20110829|
esgf-data.jpl.nasa.gov programmatically from https://esgf-node.jpl.nasa.gov
or directly via the web browser from https://esgf-data.jpl.nasa.gov, it get
a message that it doesn't know my ID: *Login Failed *ERROR: Unable to
process claimed identity '
https://www.earthsystemgrid.org/myopenid/michaael...";

Did I create the wrong type of ESGF ID and / or are there some additional
credentials I need for this server?

Thank you,

Michael A. Anderson
