Apologies - in all the excitement last week, I totally missed this
proposal/discussion.

That would give us a impressive set of lists. (dev@, users@, marketing@,
announce@, issues@, and commits@ - plus at least two non-English lists,
IIRC)

That's a lot of lists to manage and follow. We are an active bunch, but
I'm concerned that about discussions being "missed" if they take place
on general@ and not dev@. Not -1 concerned, but raising it so we are
conscious of potential problems.
