Subject: Re: [VOTE] Apache CloudStack 4.23.0.0 (RC2)

Thanks everyone for your votes, Rene, Wido, Slavka, and Nicolas. I am glad to
hear that no major issues were found during your testing.

However, we need to close this voting thread, as we have received a valid
security report against 4.23.0.0-RC2.

We will fix the issue and prepare RC3 as soon as possible.

@Nicolas Vazquez<mailto:[email protected]>  Could you please create
github issues for the observations ? Thanks.

Kind regards,

Wei

Tested single management server x 2 KVM hosts, cluster NFS pools:

  *
VM lifecycle, live migration with and without storage
  *
Template and ISOs registration and upload from local
  *
CKS cluster deployment
  *
Quota plugin

Some non-blocking observations/improvements:

  *
I like the new advisory on the CKS clusters UI section to automatically set the
required global setting, create offering and register the latest CKS ISO. I
noticed that the CKS ISO version registered is set to 1.33.1, when I was
expecting 1.35.x or 1.36.x
  *
I also like the new UI for the quota summary section, especially the graphs for
consumption. When filtering the consumption details by resource I observe
multiple repeated rows for the same tariff and aggregation period, and the
consumed quota does not match the summary on the tables above.

If there is time, I will try to test VMware migrations for no regression
between 4.22 and 4.23.
*By the way, Codex/ChatGPT Sol seems to be much crazier/effective/faster
than Fable for some things, just a note.
