Ah ok,

Btw when you try to launch the UI at say http://localhost:8080/client, I do see
errors first time after server startup related to "tmpFile.renameTo(classFile)
failed at.."
- a page refresh solves that and launches GUI
Not sure if that will help you.

HI Prachi,

I tried this workaround, the server starts but the GUI does not come up.

There is no other error in the server logs. Why would the GUI not come up then?

Thanks & Regards,
Ritu S.

update configuration set value='false' where name='developer';

This should resolve the error - after updating the db, you will still see some
stack trace regarding " CreateProcess error=2" but it will not stop the server
from running.

The CS server runs but the GUI does not come up.

Any help in this regard in appreciated.

The TroubleShooting section on the page:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/Setting+up+a+CloudStack+dev+environment+on+Windows

Mentions to use this workaround but this does not help.

Workaround:
Skip key generation and cloudstack works fine.
This is done by setting developer property in the configuration table as
follows, by running the following SQL statement in MySQL use cloud; update
configuration set value='false' where name='developer';

This changes the developer mode to false, which combined with a non 'cloud'
username will skip the key generation.

Thanks & Regards,
Ritu S.
