All,
The snapd and packages are supported by default on Ubuntu 16.04/18.04+, and also on Debian 9, Fedora with a total of about 41 Linux distributions. To allow ease of installation and usage, I've published CloudMonkey v6.0.0 community build on snapcraft as a `snap` package. Users can install via Ubuntu Software app [1], or using: `sudo snap install cloudmonkey`. Snap package page: https://snapcraft.io/cloudmonkey Wrt usage, the only difference is that the snap package runs in an isolated process and path, and the default configuration directory for a user will be available at /snap/cloudmonkey/current/.cmk. Once installed, the snap package will automatically upgrade (default behaviour) when a future stable version of CloudMonkey (cmk) releases. I've also requested for a package alias `cmk` to allow interoperability between `cmk` and `cloudmonkey` tool names. Additional notes: The snapcraft account (apachecloudstack) is open for PMCs and committers who wish to collaborate towards future snaps publication and maintenance, please email me your preferred email address privately to join the developer account. Thanks.
