I disagree ..... with Woody progressing at such a pace, my feelings are that it should be possible to statically include the WoodyMessages for built-in components (as a fall-back), while being able to over-ride specific messages from your own application messages catalogue. (As the Woody Samples do with "OtherMessages").
By the way, would it be possible to read the default catalog from a resource (i.e. from cocoon-woody-block.jar) instead of copying them from the samples?
