To fix this issue, reader should indicate to the pipeline that it requires content length to be set. This should be done only for PDF, not for other resources. See AbstractReader.shouldSetContentLength(). I think it should be made either (a) configurable parameter, or (b) resource reader can override it and return "true" for PDF content. Vadim
