Regarding this, we shouldn't release and address the concerns for the next release. I think we shouldn't really hurry with the release. Let's take the time to fix the issues.
Reminder: if we don't release before the end of this month, we are required to change the license header as well, *before* doing a new release. All releases after March 1st need to be (c) ASF, ASL 2.0.
