How is petstore separated?
It is separated from the actual code, it is a sample in its own block.
Same can be done for other samples as well. Or, for smaller samples, they all can just be pulled into the "samples" block.
This way, no actual block will have dependencies just because of sample code. In addition to this, special handling for the ".samples." package etc can go from build.xml, which is good too.
