The JVM can't see X11 libraries required for the AWT to function properly... I bet this is a linux box, and either you don't have X11 installed, or the libraries are in a place where they can't be dynamically linked (a directory not in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable or in the / etc/ld.so.conf file).
