 I've changed the dev/core.properties's loglevel to INFO (just to see
 whether this changes somethng) with no effect to the startup flood of
 debugging messages.
Did you also encounter the flood before you upgraded to Jetty 5.1? I had some problems switching from 4.x to 5.x because of jetty's 5.x use of commons-logging.

I've checked that before. Yes, I had the flood as well.
