Gary,

I tossed this around as well, and noted these fields as a "possible promote"
 to the Abstract configuration, because I agree that there probably isn't a
"good" reason why one pool has those features and the other doesn't.  (if
this is indeed the case, these would probably best be tracked in two
separate issues IMHO).

That said, they are two concrete pools, and I worry that having just a
single Config class may complicate the 2.0 API down the line if, for
example, one pool gets a new feature that isn't logical for the other
(logically bound or even generically typed).  Even if we promote both
conflicting issues to the abstract config class, and the two concrete config
classes are simply shell implementations, I would be happy to know we have
this "wiggle room" to expand later without having to introduce a new class
into the mix.  Further, we can type safety this config-to-[pool|factory]
pairing, and not receive the wrong config type (if and when one config
diverges from the other).

I'm interested to know your thoughts on this, since I pondered this very
issue as well before giving the +1 =)
