I'd rather divide it along conceptual lines. E.g. Arithmetics (for "addAndCheck") Precision (for "equals", "compare") Binomial (for "binomialCoefficient") MathArrays (for "linearCombination", "distance", "safeNorm", ...) Function (for "pow", "cosh", ...) [But maybe those should go in FastMath].
