I assure you, the Bean Validation podling is not discontinued. There just isn't that terribly much to do anymore. You'll see activity increase when the next version of the specification comes out, certainly. Bean Validation is likely to graduate from the incubator any time, whenever all the interested parties get enough spare cycles.
