Sent previously e-mail with correct +1 vote, but while pasting my environment
settings I accidentally hit send. Just to conclude. Also building OK with IBM
JDK 1.8 and Oracle JDK 1.7, both on Ubuntu LTS.

Had a quick look at release notes, readme, building, and notice files.
Everything looks OK.

Checked signatures from staged artefacts in Maven, found no issues.

Thank you for taking your time to RM compress, and for helping me with the
building instructions :)

Cheers
Bruno

Oh, don't know how I didn't see the building file. Will make a mental note to
look for it the next time :-) thank you.

  [ X ] +1 Release these artifacts

Building OK on

commit 01b06d5ef5c5ac3bd651bedcfec7433231cea371
Author: Stefan Bodewig <bode...@apache.org>
Date: Sat Oct 14 15:17:09 2017 +0200

prepare RC1 of Commons Compress 1.15

Apache Maven 3.3.9 (bb52d8502b132ec0a5a3f4c09453c07478323dc5;
2015-11-11T05:41:47+13:00)

OS name: "linux", version: "4.4.0-96-generic", arch: "amd64", family: "unix"

And

PMD has a new issue introduced in TarUtils that could be easily fixed, but is
not a blocker IMO -
https://github.com/apache/commons-compress/blob/c348be132b835c1116ff1467f1dc67cbc5dc8971/src/main/java/org/apache/commons/compress/archivers/tar/TarUtils.java#L294

+1 on Gary's comment about minor Javadoc warnings that could also be easily
fixed.

:-)

japicmp only works properly if it can find a jar, so you need to run the
package goal together with the site goal. So the magic incantation is

mvn package site -Pjacoco
