Thanks Sally for bringing this topic.
I am not sure, how frequent and effectively we (Com-Dev and other Apache
projects) use this service.

I think, the purpose of our this service was, the new people to Apache can
find the task in which they contribute.
Also, the Apache projects can post the task in which they need help.

Ideally, if someone new exploring the Apache, we have good page [1] for
them to start.
They can explore the projects at Apache [2] as mentioned in above page and
then based on their interest and knowledge base they can select the project
to contribute.

As per my experience, most of the project now use JIRA [3] to maintain the
task to be done and if new contributor joins the project, they can
communicate on respective mailing lists and pick the task as per their
interest from JIRA.

So, we can rethink on how we want to proceed with our HelpWanted service.

Please correct me if I missing any and share your thoughts.
