Hi Jeff Ideally it would be good to do it live so that we can support a live Q&A from the audience. My understanding that it is possible to stream pre-recorded content but there might be some technical overhead to deal such as unsupported configurations.
One solution option mentioned was putting the recorded content on the ASF Youtube channel in advance so we can link to it. So the answer to your question is yes - you can make a video recording of your talk. If the problem is that you are unavailable at the time your talk is scheduled for then please talk to the Track Chair as there is probably flexibility to move talks to a better timeslot for you.
