I wanted to draw attention to two projects that are doing amazing things, and make a note that we should encourage other projects to do the same.
Specifically: Yesterday I came across DataFusion’s “how to become a committer” page - https://datafusion.apache.org/contributor-guide/governance.html - and I would like for us to encourage other projects to use this page as a template for documenting their own committer conventions. Secondly, I came across Arrow’s developer onboarding guide - https://arrow.apache.org/docs/developers/overview.html - and would like for us to encourage projects to write up something similar for their sites.
