This is stuff for events.apache.org <http://events.apache.org/> in support of
the upcoming Community Over Code event in Glasgow. There’s more to come, based
on conversations at FOSDEM, but this is the general outline of the kinds of
volunteer support I’ll be seeking for that event. If there are other volunteer
opportunities that I should be thinking about, please speak up.

I’m very interested in finding *new* volunteers, rather than the usual people -
y’all are, of course, welcome, but I’m very specifically hoping to create
positions, with enough details, that someone can come in and do this for the
first time, with maybe a little support from the regular crowd, and bring some
new people into our group here.

These docs should be descriptive — what these volunteer roles are expected to
do — but also leave room for interpretation and innovation and improvisation.
Since the goal is to bring a new generation into the ASF, we need input from
that generation, rather than being too prescriptive as to how things should be
done.
