I'm a little fearful of escaping `:` characters so liberally. The `:` has
meaning outside of VML, as described in the CSS selectors doc:
file://localhost/Users/pmuellr/Manuals/Software/CSS/css2.1/selector.html
I'm still open to figuring out a patch for this, but the selector whacking is
going to have to be more specific, and I don't know how to make that happen.
