Today I opened 3 jira issues. I wanted to assign those issues to myself (I wanted to fix them and get my first few commits in the bag), but by default it was assigned to the lead of that Component :( I couldn't change the assignee to myself.
Is it not possible for me to assign jira issues to myself, since I am not a committer only a contributor? Please, let me know. Thanks.
