If there are no blocking issues, I'll continue with this minor release
tonight.

While there were some previous discussions around E2E, the outcome appeared
to be more about reviewing and testing to identify the expected behavior of
E2E when enabled or disabled, as well as how other related preferences are
expected to behave under different configurations.

Since the current main branch already includes some fixes, I think it would
still be worthwhile to prepare the release as it stands.
