Afterthought: We talk about DocFormat as an API for conversions, but isn't the
deal really about an API that surfaces a model of a document in whatever format
it is in. The harmonization of that with HTML (if that is the case) is perhaps
a special case, or are we saying that not only is HTML some sort of canonical
carrier, but it is the what is surfaced and consumed by a layer above the
underlying format.
I guess I'm asking where the pluggable seams are.
