I have unzipped https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/couchdb/source/1.5.0/rc.3/apache-couchdb-1.5.0.tar.gz into a folder dist and fired make distcheck: [andwen ~/project/couchdb/1.5.0.rc3/dist/apache-couchdb-1.5.0]: make distcheck -- Andy Wenk Hamburg - Germany RockIt!
