I am trying to access the underlying input split from a DoFn instance to get
the input file name while building an inverted index. By limiting access to the
CrunchInputSplit the details are not accessible. One of the powerful aspects of
Crunch (IMHO) is the access it allows to the MapReduce API, but in this case I
was inhibited. I will paste the code I wrote for this case when I'm at home.
Of course it's possible there is another way I can access the underlying
InputSplit that I didn't consider, and if I jumped the gun on this pleas let me
know.
