A review of some licensing issues internally flagged one potential problem in
Crunch: the maugham.txt file used for testing. This is "Of Human Bondage"
published in 1915. Although it's evidently public domain in the US and
distributed by Project Gutenberg, it's not clear it's out of copyright in the
UK, where I presume it was (also) published. The UK copyright term is life plus
70 years and Somerset Maugham died in 1965.
Does anyone happen to know anything more definitive about the status of this
work? I kind of guess [~jwills] added it. If it's uncertain, would anyone
object to me removing it, possibly replacing it with something obviously out of
copyright everywhere?
