Yea, this is meant to be more of a guideline than a rule. And I imagine this 
would be mostly for my benefit anyway, so that I can let my computer format 
contributions to match the rest of Curator instead of me hopelessly trying to 
context switch between projects/styles. But then I thought that maybe somebody 
else in the world uses NetBeans and would appreciate me making it public.
