+1, we have lots of good features that shouldn't be held up for
something still in relatively early design stage. Release early and
release often!

When the time is right, someone other than me should volunteer to be the
release manager for 2.2.0. It would be good to have someone else go
through the process and validate the Release Workflow [1] steps.
