Please vote for these JIRA issues: * https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESC-2243 * https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESC-2249 You do that by opening them, and clicking on the vote button (right side of page) These incompatibilities are problematic for DFDL schemas, as it means they are frequently incompatible with dual-use as XML-schemas for validation using Xerces-C.
