Just to give an update: I've made some good progress on this. I've got Gradle
set up and it can build the JAR. I've also figured out how to set up the
autojar and jarjar tasks, which were probably the trickiest parts. All the
unit tests pass. At this point I can produce the same JAR essentially that the
Ant build system does.
