You can download and run checkstyle in your own system or have it configured as part of your IDE(either Eclipse or IntelliJ, that is what I do). Make sure you point to the SketchesCheckstyle.xml in the tools folder from within the checkstyle program config, otherwise you might get a lot of false positives.
