Pierre Lacave (plac...@apache.org) has already made substantial contributions to the DataSketches Library by translating a number of our key sketches into the GO language. This is a very important addition to our Java, C++ and Python languages! For example, he has already translated the HLL family: HLL-4, HLL-6 and HLL-8; the Frequent Items sketches for longs and generic items; and the KLL generic items sketch!
In addition, he has already established binary compatibility of these sketches with both our C++ and Java equivalent sketches! We will be working with Pierre soon to take him through the Apache release process for these new additions. Pierre joins us from Paris as a valuable addition to our growing European community!
