Just thought I post a message here to see if anyone on the dbaneedsconfirm list is reading. I opened issue 52451 several months ago and it's still in unconfirmed state. I am wondering if anyone is even looking at OOo 2.0 database issues. IMO the issue is too visible to be ignoring at the RC level and possibly going to final release without addressing. You still cannot use the Database tool with an Oracle database connected by ODBC. Oracle is one of the most popular databases in the world and ODBC is the primary method people use to connect a non-Oracle client.
