Hi, Frank:

:)Thank you so much for your recommendation ! Sorry for I haven't answered your letter in time, because I want to put the issue 18907 to complete first. Had oj14 been be integrated into the master builds at the beginning of this month? If so, I look forward to starting the work immediately. If not, I want to waiting for a while .And in this time, if needed , I 'm glad to do some other work.
oj14 has been integrated into SRC680 m220 just this morning. We created a new cws called rpt23fix01. :-) For the beginning you may have a look at issue http://dba.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=77349

The code which set such a title is already implemented for the database application in dbaccess/source/ui/app. So the best way would be to copy it or offer a new class which can be used from both places. This issue needs some digging in the code of dbaccess. Grep for title to find a start point. Or if you want to you dig into the reportdesign sources to understand what's going on there and fix any issue from reportdesign01 :-) Feel free.
And as always I help where I can.

Best regards,

Ocke

Best Regards.

Hello duyunfen,

oj had told me to have a look at reportdesigner1 for issues which need to fixed.
What can I do for you ,please?:)
Let's try. As I see it, Ocke pointed you to oj14, which is the CWS where
the new report designer is implemented. While this CWS is short before
integration, there is no official milestone yet, which contains this
code. So, for any work you want to do there, you would need to update
your source tree to the branch of CWS oj14.

That means you would need to
- get an OOo source tree of 680m214 (which is what oj14 is based on)
- do a "cwsquery -c oj14 modules", which lists you all modules added
to this CWS. For each of those modules, you need to
   cvs update -rcws_src680_oj14
to update the respective module to this CWS' branch
- manually check out the modules dba/reportdesign and
external/jfreereport, which do not yet exist in head
- build the complete thing

After this, you could start investigating issues there.
Are you willing to take this?

However, I recommend waiting for a while ... oj14 will be integrated
into the master builds by beginning of next month. That means that then,
you simply can update your source tree to a recent milestone to get all
you need.

Also, this would have the advantage that Ocke is back from vacation then
:). The problem is that the report designer is mostly Ocke's
implementation, so I would need to dig myself to find suitable issues -
I simply do not know the code well enough, yet.

It is not impossible that I find issues for you, but Ocke would probably
be better, simply because he knows his code better.

So please tell me whether you prefer to start working on oj14 directly
(in this case you need to do the things described above), or whether you
want to wait for oj14 being integrated into the master builds. Both is
fine with me, just tell me.

Ciao
Frank
