I understood George as talking about relationships, that is, mechanisms
to ensure referential integrity. This is not exactly the same as joins
in queries on dBase tables. And, sorry to say, there are no plans to
implement this. This would be a task near to implementing an own
full-blown database engine, and there are no plans to embark on such a
task - we already have an engine.

What perhaps could be done is enhancing the HSQLDB engine to also accept
dBase files as backend, similar to how it today already accepts
.txt/.csv files. This would expose the full power of the HSQL engine to
dBase users.

Ciao
Frank
