Hi,

in the file backend of our configuration data (vulgo: the .xcu files in
the [user|share]/registry/data/* folder hierarchy), it is possible to
declare a configuration node, and all sub nodes, as read-only by adding
the attribute "oor:finalized='true'". org/openoffice/Office/Paths.xcu
and org/openoffice/Office/Labels.xcu make exemplary use of this.

I wonder whether there is a possibility to declare an *element of a set
node* as non-removeable. oor:finalized doesn't work for this purpose, as
it only prevents the content of the node to be changed, but not the
complete node to be removed.

Any ideas anybody?

Thanks & Ciao
Frank

Do you have any idea where can I get documentation about the attributes like oor:mandatory="true" and oor:finalized="true"?

I would expect to find some explanation in the Dev's Guide http://api.openoffice.org/docs/DevelopersGuide/Config/Config.xhtml#1_Configuration_Management

but a quick search find nothing about them, they are not even mentioned.

So the only way I've found is reading
/opt/openoffice.org2.3/share/registry and /opt/openoffice.org2.3/share/registry

and see how they are *used*, but they are not *documented* there of course.

Bye
Ariel.
