OOo allows you to create a database which actually references the address book of your Thunderbird installation. Explore the File/New/Database wizard, if you do not know this feature, yet. In theory, it should even be possible to update TB's address book, though recent discussions in our lists indicate this is not the case (didn't try myself for quite a while). Other than that, no explicit "synchronizing" tool is planned. Also, personally I doubt it would be the right way. In my opinion, an address book is no application functionality, but an OS/desktop one. That is, there should be a "system-wide" address book, and applications can register themselves as provider for this address book (this would be TB's role), or as client of this address book (this would be OOo's role). Windows does something like this: there is a dedicated "Windows address book" which can be accessed by applications without knowing which other application actually feeds it. Also, IIRC KDE has something like a desktop-wide address book. Architectures like this would save each and every desktop application from implementing exchange/synchronization with each and every address-provider. > If this question should be directed to another group, please advise of > its name.
