Marios Andreou commented on DTACLOUD-469:
-----------------------------------------
Context - original request from Matt Wagner via e-mail:
Hi Marios,
I was looking at trying to add Rackspace support to Conductor via
OpenStack (versus their older API).
I'm having trouble authenticating, and I wanted to confirm what I think
is the reason...
They document their authentication here:
http://docs.rackspacecloud.com/servers/api/v2/cs-devguide/content/curl_auth.html
It looks to my untrained eye like normal Keystone stuff -- except that
when they accept an API key, they want the bizarre key 'RAX-KSKEY'
prefaced to their apiKeyCredentials hash. Authenticating with password
fails because the Deltacloud code, as I read it, passes in 'apiKey'
instead of 'password' and Rackspace is being very literal.
Am I doing anything obviously wrong? Or is it just Rackspace being
difficult? Is there any easy workaround?
Thanks for the help!
