The problem is that it's currently not possible in the schema DSL to express an
array of references. The example becomes a little less confusing if you write
it as
array :things do
ref :widget
end
which would indeed cause XML of the form "<thing><widget
href=".."/></thing><thing> ... </thing>"
I'll have to make changes to the schema DSL to support that; something along
the lines of 'array :things, :ref => FooClass'
