Comments? Thoughts?
Just a thought: I would be providing my own clustered/replicated backend
for ApacheDS and I would be using it embedded (inside of Tomcat) too. So
it would be interesting for me to see:
1. performance numbers for operations talking to the server directly via
local calls (no sockets).
Right you mean using JNDI directly. Yes this is something that
interests me as well. We have many products based on ApacheDS which use
their own partition. These folks will want to be able to use the
framework to test their ApacheDS configuration in embedded mode which
better isolates their partition implementation.
Glad to hear it.
2. performance numbers for operations talking to a stub/mock backend.
Ok so this is your control right?
Yeah. I seem to remember someone posting about a RAM backend for easier
unit testing a while back. That is what I had in mind when I posted #2.
Not exactly stub/mock but...
Cheers.
