Emmanuel Lecharny commented on DIRSERVER-1118:
----------------------------------------------
It seems that there is a clear problem when two partitions share the same root
('dc=x, dc=com' and 'dc=y, dc=com')
Accordingly to
http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/DIRxSRVx11/Partitions, this is
supposed to work.
> Cannot have two partitions dc=example,dc=com and dc=carrefour,dc=com at the
> same time.

> Project: Directory ApacheDS
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 1.5.1
> Environment: Windows XP, Java 1.5
> Reporter: Daniel Sportes
>
> I duplicate the partition dc=example,dc=com intoa partition
> dc=carrefour,dc=com (my company).
> However the startup is OK with example, is OK with carrefour and not with
> both.
> A lot of companies have an id ending with dc=com and not being able to have
> one partition by company is an issue.
> I do not exclude a mistake in my configuration.
