Hi guys,

this is not the first time this question hits the mailing list, but I don't think we have stated something definitive in this area.

Is having a constructor throwing a checked exception a code smell ?

Something like :
    public Dn(String) throws LdapInvalidDnException

is acceptable, or should it throw an unchecked exception ?
