2 things :
- first, set the logs level so that you don't get so many logs. There is a
log4j.properties file where you can tweak the logs to fit your need
- second, don't let any application but those needing to access the LDAP server
send request which are not LDAP.

The log you provided shows that the LDAP server is receiving plain HTTP
requests on port 10389, which does not make any sense :

> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: asn1
> Affects Versions: 2.0.0-M23
> Environment: Docker containers on Jelastic. Created containers with
> Alpine 3.4 as well as CentOS 7 and both result in the same
> 'ERR_00001_BAD_TRANSITION_FROM_STATE Bad transition from state START_STATE,
> tag 0x47' error.
> Reporter: Mark van den Broek
> Priority: Critical
>
> Running ApacheDS 2.0.0-M23 results in a huge amount of the error listed below
> in apacheds.log. Log file grows > 100 MB within a day. ApacheDS however seems
> to function properly. I can connect to it and manage it with Apache Directory
> Studio. The huge amount of errors and the 64Kb hexdump on every occurrence,
> renders ApacheDS completely unusable.
