Modifying a schema might be problematic for the already loaded entries : there 
is no hard link between an entry and the schema, it's all resolved dynamically 
at run time. That means you might not be able to retrieve an entry if the 
associated ObjectClass and attribute list have been changed (you might even get 
some weird errors). Also note that indexes might be broken if you do modify the 
schema.

Ideally speaking, what you must do is to get you schema fixed first, then 
re-import all the data, as costly as it sounds.
