Guys, what's up with changing the subject? The title of this thread is "Lead of p2p". With regards to the forum vs. list vs. new everything, I have posted a thread about the google group which would seem to fulfill everyones needs, and the majority of responses have been that people would rather keep this list. So there is no point in setting up forums (with email access or not) if people don't want it.

Adrian

I agree with Adrian. This is the point I've been trying to convey. I'll drop out of this discussion now.

Like I said I dont care who does it. I actually think it should be
    part of the current forums.

I can work on a script to post via email through piping of email
however there are a couple of concerns.

1)If you only allow posting via certain email address that is ok but
you can spoof the from of email addresses. This is done all the time.
Hence why you most likely get spam on here.

    Alternate would be

2)Post using an from a certain email address and using a specified
username and password, but think... would you want your forum username
and password floating around. Many email servers use TLS protocol but
it is not a requirement. (although it should be)

FYI This site would not be a subdomain of any commercial site either.

Would you like me to work on such a script given the above?

About the hosting I didn't want to step on any ones toes. Jim if you
own and maintain your own servers, by all means.
