I get these messages quite regularly myself. Generally they are several weeks 
apart, I usually ignore them, and I have yet to be unsubscribed. My guess is 
that someone manages to get the listserv to send a spam message, which is 
rejected (probably bounced) by the receiving server (I get quite a bit of 
spam from that list actually). So I shouldn't worry too much about it. If 
you're unsure, then you can always send a test message to the list, and if 
you don't receive it then try re-subscribing...
