After the latest OOo release, shit hit the fan on my site again, and it made it unavailable for most of the last couple of days :( I wasn't getting results with individually banning such things, because there are more and more patterns to detect... so I had a look at who is generating all this traffic all of the sudden, and I found that it wasn't the normal OOo mirror system, but one single foreign site which was the referrer for most of the traffic. <sigh> Now they are 403'ed off with http://ftp.linux.hr/README.badreferrer.html and the site is much better now. It almost looks like people have really SNAFU crawler bots downloading that other site. -- 2.
