Hi Mark,

(a) If the target is not supposed to be there, surely the link to it should be
removed? In other words, I don't expect to get a page which says

"404 - File not found

the link is created automatically. Currently there is no way to avoid this.

(b) My employer expects me to use builds without JRE, so that the JRE can be
verified as the latest version separately from OOo. Are you sure this
particular build has not just slipped through the uploading procedure? It _has_
been removed from

You don't have to install the included JRE. So, you can actually use the build.

http://download.openoffice.org/all_rc.html#untested-full

This was the build with JRE. This is now released and the link has been removed.

so its status is now neither "untested RC" nor "tested and stable."

The responsibility to release builds is with every Language Community. When they decide to test and release only builds with JRE then it is like it is for the moment. Maybe you can convince them to release also nonJRE builds. For this you should ask on the "[email protected]" mailing list.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. But in this special it's not a broken link. The build was simply not released.

Best regards

Marcus

Hi Mark,

the error message is correct. The file without JRE wasn't released as
stable build. Please download with JRE.

Best regards

Marcus

Your web page
http://download.openoffice.org/other.html

Un-tick the box "Include the JRE to the download (this option is not available
for Linux 32/64-bit
Debian and Mac OS)."
Now the link for English (British), Windows does not work (gives error 404)
with URL
http://download.services.openoffice.org/files/localized/en-GB/3.2.1/OOo_3.2.1_Win_x86_install_en-
GB.exe

I have obtained an equivalent distribution (same checksum) from

http://download.services.openoffice.org/files/extended/3.2.1rc2/OOo_3.2.1rc2_20100521_Win_x86_install_
en-GB.exe
