Sirs,
I download Open Office version 3.2 for quite some time and when version
3.3 was ready for download, it failed
Over the past 3 months or so, I have intermittently tried downloading
version 3.3 but all with the same result.
As I had quite a number of files saved, I was unsure whether to
uninstall and download 3.3 Now that I have time, I have uninstalled 3.2
and have just logged in to install version 3.3 but I am rather concerned
that the download is going to take 6hours and 22minutes to download.
Within half an hour I receive a completed download of 144MB but now I
cannot install for I am informed that the file is not a valid win32
application. After a few minutes another note appears saying that a
script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You
can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will
complete. I chose to continue but nothing happened. Message Script
Crome://global/content/bindings/general.xml:0
I then went to another site and tried downloading again. This took only
minutes to download the same programme but this time was only 920KB. I
note this download has your logo where the others only had a page layout.
On clicking your logo, I get a NSIS error. Installer integrity check has
failed and listing causes as incomplete download and damaged media.
Now I tried downloading the 3.4 beta version and nothing happened so to
revert back to my original programme, I started downloading the US
version of 3.3.0 the other downloads were GB.
Notice of 7hours 53minutes for a download of 151MB seems rather long so
I will have to System restore.
Sorry but a little unhappy with your up grade programmes

John Jacoby
